Palm Beach TV Star Hilary Musser Lists $42.5M Spec Home, Eyes Producer Role on New Show
By Real Estate Wire Staff, . Real Estate Wire.
Hilary Musser, a cast member on Netflix's 'Members Only: Palm Beach,' has completed a waterfront spec home along the Intracoastal Waterway priced at $42.5 million and is already developing a new television project, according to Realtor.com News.
The spec home
The property sits across from a Palm Beach site being developed by billionaire Ken Griffin. Each room is designed as its own destination. "Every room is a destination," she said. "A place where you can go and enjoy your friends and your family."
She described a dining room integrated into the wine room, alongside a kitchen, living room and theater that each offer a different experience. Her design philosophy is personal: "I build every house as if I'm going to live in it," she said.
The new show
Musser confirmed she is in early development on a separate television project, with casting underway and a network not yet chosen. She would serve as a producer. Palm Beach County's profile in luxury real estate could feature in the concept, though she does not plan a property-focused series. "In Palm Beach County, we're famous for our real estate," she told the publication, adding that it would be one element of a broader show rather than the central subject.
The future of 'Members Only: Palm Beach' remains unresolved. The series has not been canceled or renewed, but Musser said the outcome is not a priority for her. "It doesn't really matter to me if the show gets renewed," she said.
The business behind the profile
Musser originally obtained her real estate license to gain earlier access to off-market development opportunities, then earned her broker's license after working with a colleague for a couple of years. Representing buyers and sellers was not the original plan; client work grew from requests within her community.
Her brokerage's gross revenue quadrupled last year, a result she attributes in part to the visibility the Netflix series provided. Beyond real estate, she is now pursuing brand partnerships, merchandising, social media opportunities and a book she said she had wanted to write since before the COVID-19 pandemic. "The show has just opened up some new doors for me," she said.
She was candid about the less visible side of the business. "You wish you could just produce a buyer when you want one," she said. "But it doesn't work like that."
What to watch
The $42.5 million ask on the Intracoastal property will be a real test of where ultra-luxury Palm Beach demand sits right now. A completed spec home at that price point, without a buyer already in place, carries meaningful carrying costs and market timing risk regardless of the finishes. Whether Musser's television profile translates into a faster sale is the practical question. The new show's network, format and timeline remain unannounced.
